Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
Meetings are from 7:30pm until around 10:00pm. Club members are at the clubrooms from 7:15pm.
The programme for the coming year is outlined below with monthly competitions and activities. Some dates and activities may change from time to time or additional information may be added as it comes to hand during the year, so check back regularly to keep up to date.Definitions for the set subject competitions are outlined too so scroll down and make yourself familiar with the specifics for each set subject. January 27 - Competition (Open & Set)Set subject: Travel An image where the main subject must be taken while on holidays.
February 10 - Swimwear Shoot Bring your camera (BYC) - Semaphore beach - Start 6:30pm. Meet at beach end of jetty
February 24 - Competition (Open & Set) Set subject: Emotion An image where the main subject must convey one or more emotions
March 7-9 - Field Trip to Victor Harbor March 10 - Workshop: Using Available Light Meet at the Rotunda on the Torrens and BYC
March 24 - Competition (Open & Set) Set Subject: Music - Bands - Instruments An image where the main subject must relate to music and/or a band and/or a musical instrument or a combination of two or three of these elements.
March 31 - The Vince Calo Trophy A special portrait competition for all B grade members to be judged by the A grade members in attendance. Please bring refreshments for the basket supper.
April 14 - Workshop: Extremes BYC and learn how to use it at maximum and minimim shutter speed and f/stops
April 28 - Competition (Open & Set) Set Subject: Planes, Trains & Automobiles An image where the main subject must be a plane and/or a train and/or an automobile or a combination of all three.
May 12 - Workshop - Toby Richardson - "Art and Photography". Toby lectures at the Uni of SA on Art and photography.
March 24 - Competition (Open & Set) Set Subject: Movement An image where the main subject portays the element of movement.
June 6 - 8 Field trip to Burra Details to be confirmed.
June 9 - Workshop - Printing Technoolgy Details to be confirmed
June 23 - Competition (Open & Set) Set Subject: Churches and Cathedrals An image where the main subject is a church or cathedral or some aspect of a church or cathedral. This can be incorporate all or any aspect relating to churches (inside/ outside/clergy etc)
June 30 - The John Addison Trophy for Landscape/Seascape An open image competition where the main subject is a landscape or seascape.
July - 14 - Workshop - Photoshop & Digital Manipulation To be held at the club rooms but further details to be confirmed
July 28 - Competition (Open & Set) Set subject: Reflections and/or Repetition An image showing reflection and/or a repetition of form.
August 11 - Workshop - Low LIght Portrait Shoot BYC at the club rooms
August 25 - The Iris Millikan Trophy A open competition, the Iris Millikan Trophy is awarded to the best Digitally Projected Image of a Creative or Experimental nature (Altered Reality).
September 8 - Studio Visit Location and details to be confirmed
September 22 - Open & Set Comp. Set Subject: Close Up/Macro photography
September 29 - Eric Robertson Trophy for Portraiture A portrait competition open to all members of the club.
October 13 - Photo Shoot - Urban Street Location to be confirmed (BYC) .
October 27 - Annual General Meeting
November 10 - ACC v PCC Inter-Club Competition Our annual inter-club competition with Para Camera Club. ACC will be hosting the comp. this year at the club rooms Note: this is the last meeting to get your images in for the Annual Exhibition
November 24 - Photo Shoot Botanic Gardens - start 6:30pm - BYC
December 8 - Annual Exhibition and Award Prsentation An exhibition of club members best work. Invitation is open to members, family and friends.Please bring refreshments for a basket supper. |
